Mixed Blood Launches Disability Visibility
In an effort to improve the relationship between American theatre and disability, Mixed Blood solicited 40 theatre professionals to share plays that they feel best speak to disability and, from those submissions, curated a select list of scripts for consideration by artistic directors, producers, and decision-makers across the U.S. Mixed Blood is also offering funding to three theatres who produce a play from the list. The Mixed Blood staff and Board of Directors would like to honor the memory of their beloved former Board President, Ron McKinley. Ron spent the past thirty years dedicated to the simple premise that our communities are strongest when all those who live, work, and play in them are intimately involved in the decisions of the community. Ron's guidance and wisdom have been central to Mixed Blood's work, and he will always be remembered and missed in the Firehouse. Please click here for more information on Ron's legacy.
