Happy 36th, Mixed Blood!
It was on this date in 1976 – 2-2, when Jack Reuler was 22 years old – that he penned the original mission statement of the Mixed Blood Theatre Company, then a program of the Center for Community Action. Jack says today, "While the language has evolved, and the programming matured and improved, its core purpose remains solid and true. I am joyous to have been with Mixed Blood for this length of time because of the people who have invested their time and hearts into that which we hold valuable, and for a just vision of our world. Thank you all for letting Mixed Blood take the journey on which it has embarked. I truly believe that the best is yet to come."
Let's get this Party started!
The firehouse is ringing with laughter, and, intriguingly enough, loud thumps, as rehearsals are underway for Crashing the Party, opening Feb 10 (preview on Feb 9.) Click here to watch a fun little video - "Are there any Latinos in Crashing the Party?"
Just a reminder - you can make an advance guaranteed reservation here, or take advantage of our Radical Hospitality first come, first served no-cost admission the night of the show (read more here.) In any case, come crash our party!
