Mixed Blood Theatre

Free Speech

Here at Mixed Blood, we understand that theatre is not created in a vacuum; it is presented to the world and, when done right, inspires hours of conversation. It is our hope that you will want to talk about this show.

This year, we are providing more ways for our global community to discuss, engage, challenge, question and enjoy the work we produce on our stage.

At the theater:

Free For(u)m
After every performance of the mainstage shows, audience members are invited to participate in an open discussion about the show they just witnessed. These conversations are a safe space for audience members to freely and candidly discuss their feelings and connections to the work. Producer in Residence Jamil Jude will be present to provide context and help move things along, but the focus of each discussion will be led by you, the audience.

Salons
After the Sunday matinee performances (and the Industry Night performance), panels of experts will lead discussions on a variety of show-related themes and topics.

Write On!
Be a part of our Write On! group. Mixed Blood is seeking social media folks in the Twin Cities to attend early performances of our mainstage shows. See the show, write a review on your Facebook wall, and link it to the Mixed Blood page. We won't censor you, and we're not looking for professional theatre reviews – just your thoughts in your own voice.  Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
