Volunteer Positions & Internships

Ushers
Ushers and lobby volunteers are needed for every mainstage performance to assist as greeters, ticket takers, and to help patrons as needed. In exchange for your help, you get a free guaranteed admission and concession perks. Production Intern/Volunteer
The Production Intern will work directly with the Production Manager and members of the creative team, observing and participating in the development of a full production. Ideal for those interested in set design, technical needs, production administration, knowledge and practical experience with a working theatre. Please note that Mixed Blood does not produce in the summer. Summer interns will work with the production manager on season planning and preparation and off-season projects. More

Auditions

Formal auditions are conducted annually via the Twin Cities Unified Theatre Auditions, as well as periodically for specific roles and shows. Artists of color, multilingual actors, and actors with disabilities are especially encouraged to audition. Photos and resumes are always welcome. Script Submission

Mixed Blood welcomes submissions of contemporary plays that pursue and realize the company’s mission and aesthetic. Mixed Blood uses theatre to address pluralism, usually manifest in race, culture, language, disability, gender, nationality, affectional orientation, and political worldview. Predictably unpredictable, the theatre particularly invites polyglot plays, scripts from the global stage, and work that advances the art form. We prefer e-submissions.
